Why is RED test important?

The Radio Equipment Directive (RED) is a directive issued by the European Union that sets out the requirements that radio equipment must meet. It also covers radio parameters and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements. The aim of the regulation is to ensure the proper functioning of radio equipment and the efficient management of frequencies within the EU.

RED tests to support development

Our laboratory offers the opportunity to carry out RED Directive product development tests to help identify and correct potential problems at an early stage of product design and development. Our state-of-the-art laboratory equipment allows us to perform tests up to 40 GHz.

RED compliance tests

RED tests include testing of the product’s radio parameters and electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with European Union regulations and standards. Products that pass RED tests thus fully meet the requirements for placing on the EU market. Our laboratory also performs tests for SRD, WiFi, Bluetooth, mobile technologies, etc.
