Why is Wi-Fi and mobile network planning and measurement important?

Effective coverage and capacity are essential for uninterrupted and fast internet access. To ensure this, it is necessary to optimise the placement of antennas, access points, the appropriate use of frequency bands and the appropriate sizing of network infrastructure.

During the network design phase, and to analyse the performance of existing infrastructure and identify potential problems, we carry out a thermal mapping survey and design to provide a comprehensive picture of coverage and optimisation options.

Environmental and regulatory factors also influence planning. For example, the structure of a building or topography can have a significant impact on the coverage and performance of the network. To assess these, we also carry out field studies to measure signal propagation, sources of interference and coverage problems under real conditions.
